Next on the tee…..Hello, and welcome to Comical Golfer. Lefty McDuff here. Yes, it’s a pseudonym. 25+ years as a bonafide golf addict has led me to this.  The reason I created this site was to provide laughter along with ideas of how we can grow the game. There are instructional ideas on here as well. They don’t have to be considered right or wrong, just tidbits that you may choose to implement. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, I’d love to hear them. Welcomed are all comments, suggestions, or any other feedback.

How did I get here?!

I’ve reached the ripe old age of 44.  Through my 25-year golf journey, I’ve seen a lot (as I’m sure you have too). Comedy and golf should go hand in hand. Why?  Because the game we love can be maddening. Frustrating. Agonizing. Fickle mistress. You know all the cliches.  Of the innumerable great things to list about the game, enjoying a round and laughing with your friends has to be towards the top.  Laughing at yourself (and them) is, like MasterCard says…..priceless!  Being my own worst critic of my golfing prowess (or lack thereof), I still enjoy the challenge of improving. It’s a journey. I’ll get lessons, watch youtube videos and basically engulf myself in swing mechanics or the  latest “greatest” swing guru. Rinse, repeat. Grinding away. Madness you say? No argument here. As the king of the Coral Reefers says, “if we weren’t all crazy we would go insane.” That man is wise, but i digress. Not to be forgotten, good etiquette should never be ignored. But none of that means you can’t have fun and laugh. If you’re not, then the clubs probably need a little rest.

Hopefully, you’ll enjoy what is offered here. Sometimes humorous, oftentimes lame. Always for fun. Fairways and greens my friends…
